From the Desk of the Executive Director
It has been an honor to serve as Valley House's Executive Director since 2004.
In 2008 Valley House provided over 21,600 beds and helped to place close to 360
individuals into permanent housing. Valley House operates at full-capacity including
single women and/or single men and their children, married couples and their children,
single men and single women.
Most of our homeless families are headed by a young mother with at least 2 children under the age of 6. She may have lost her job or her home, become injured or ill, or be fleeing from domestic violence. After teetering on the edge of homelessness for several months, a single crisis may have plunged her into hopelessness and homelessness. Suddenly she is completely alone with children to feed, shelter, nurture,
and protect.
Homeless children face sickness, hunger and fear. Without Valley House
most of these families would have no place to turn. Valley House has been here for 14
years to offer hope and a chance for those finding themselves homeless to gain their lives
back. We could not accomplish this great task without the support of individuals, businesses,
and churches in the entire Magic Valley region and support organizations such as United
Way.
Together we can change lives and end homelessness one family at a time!
Thank you and God bless!
Sharon
