Valley House
We are not a traditional homeless shelter. Our guests must be out of the shelter during the day time looking for a job or making contacts as recommended by our staff. They are required to clean, do their own laundry, watch their own children, create personal resumes and goals, budget, set up personal savings accounts and attend group meetings.
Guests are encouraged to work on case plans in the areas of spiritual growth, healthy relationships, freedom from life-controlling issues, independent living skills, education, employment, and housing.
We have a "NO TOLERANCE" rule for drugs and consumption of alcohol (whether on or off Valley House property). We do not tolerate child abuse, spouse abuse, or smoking in Valley House buildings.
Our dedicated staff consists of a full-time executive director, a part-time assistant director, a full-time office assistant, a part-time bookkeeper, a part-time repairman/carpenter and two part-time daycare coordinators.
